Ketchup Is Not A Vegetable!

I’m SOOOOOO Confused!

Do you keep on getting conflicting advice about what to eat and what to avoid?  One day you hear a food is super-healthy, and the next day you hear it’s not safe?

Unfortunately, this happens a lot, and it can be hard to keep up with the latest research.  So here are three rules to help you keep your sanity and stop obsessing over your food:

1) Everything in moderation.  A little dark chocolate is good for you, a lot will sabotage your weight.  Brown rice is an excellent whole grain, but eating it every day could raise your arsenic levels.

2) Eat low on the food chain.  Toxins concentrate in the flesh of animals that eat animals.  Eating plants is safer than eating animals, and eating small fish like anchovies (which eat mostly plankton) is safer than eating predator fish like sharks (which eat many smaller fish and can accumulate high levels of mercury).

3) Choose organic and unprocessed foods.  When you buy organically-grown foods in their natural state, you avoid dangerous pesticides, hormones, and additives.
